This 1967 Chevrolet Nova SS is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Nova SS was top of the line model. The 194 cu in 6 cylinder engine was standard on the Super Sport, but any Chevy II (excluding four-cylinder) engine could be coupled with the SS. The Nova SS was visually distinguished by wide rocker panels and a bright aluminum deck lid cove. It had bright SS emblems on the grille and in the ribbed rear panel, and Super Sport script on the quarter panels. Wheel covers were inherited from the 1965 Malibu SS. Strato-bucket front seats were included, but a tachometer cost extra.] The 66 Chevy II sales brochure clearly promoted the Super Sport as the Chevrolet Chevy II Nova Super Sport, but the name "Nova" was not used anywhere on the body. Front and rear emblems displayed "Chevy II SS. In 1967, Chevy II was still the name of the vehicle, but the Nova SS option package replaced all Chevy II badging with Nova SS badging. Now that the quick history lesson is over, lets get down to the nuts & bolts of what this particular SS Nova has become. The body was put on a rotisserie so that the top and bottom of this car could be reworked. After the panels were straighten, a custom two tone paint scheme was applied. To insure that the car handles as well as it looks; a Heidts Super Ride 2 suspension has been installed. This new suspension includes an independent Pro Touring front suspension, Heidts power rack with Billet reservoir, and a Heidts 4 link rear kit with Ride Tech Shock Wave Air Ride. A Wilwood 4 wheel disc brake kit with Wilwood master cylinder has been added to insure this beautiful piece of art will stop. This gorgeous looking Pro-Touring car rides on 18 inch Billet Specialties wheels shod with Hankook Z-rated radial tires. With a 450 horsepower 355 CID small block Chevy engine under the hood, this Nova SS has plenty of go! Insuring the engine gets plenty of spark and fuel, a MSD ignition system has been installed along with a Quick-Fuel Carburetor. A 3 inch X exhaust system has been utilized to for optimum flow and efficiency. To keep the engine compartment looking as good as the rest of the car, a Billet Specialties Tru-Trac serpentine belt system was added. To keep this beastly engine cool, a Be-Cool aluminum radiator, with electric fan, has been added. The engine is back by a 700R4 four speed automatic transmission. The extra gear in the tranny allows the Super Nova to easily cruise down the highway without causing the engine to rev at high RPMs. Inside a brand new interior, custom sound system, Dakota Digital dash with tilt steering column and custom billet steering wheel round out the overall good looks of this Chevy II. Keeping both driver and passengers comfortable is a Vintage heat and air conditioning system, so not only do you look cool, but you can actually stay cool. Options on This 1967 Chevrolet Nova SS include; Vintage heat & A/C system, AM/FM Radio with CD player, Leather Seats, Power Steering, and aluminum wheels with Radial Tires.
